Youth Work
Christ Church has a very active youth ministry, currently there are two groups, the younger Allstars, for primary school aged children (5 - 10) and the Star Academy, for the older children, (ages 10 up). Current membership of these groups is growing rapidly, from averaging attendances of 25 children at the start of the year to consistant attendances in the mid 30s throughout November and December.
Allstars incorporates all aspects of youth ministry, from modern worship and traditional bible stories, through to games, arts and craft.
The older group, Star Academy, focuses on realising the Word through drama and music, the group held the central roles in the recent nativity, which was an original work written by Susan Kirkham.
